A virtual assistant is generally self-employed and pledges professional administrative, technical, creative, or social assistance to clients remotely from a home office. A flexible, professional, and often much more affordable alternative to hiring a full- or part-time employee. Someone that is an authority in their field and desires to share their skills to support their clients.

These are the common types of VA:

Technical:

• They are best for helping with all of the stuff that you don’t have time to learn or care to learn. Some examples are Ontraport, LeadPages, 1ShoppingCart, Aweber, Kajabi, Landing Page Monkey, etc. These are the client that you engage to hold the time-consuming work. Each VA will have a different skill set with different technical programs.

Administrative:

• These VA’s handle your administrative duties. They would manage your calendar, handle emails, book flights, and travel arrangements, set up meetings, organize summits and live events, data entry, transcription, etc. These VA’s shine with things like Google calendar, Evernote and any other type of administrative or data entry program. They are one of the more common types of VA’s. Likewise, they answer calls, return email, and similar task. Provide various levels of customer service. Types document mail letters and take notes.

Digital Marketing / Social Media:

• Are broad and therefore some VA’s narrow in on Social Media only. Within these roles, some VA’s will write their content and implement your strategies, while others will assist with your strategy and implement, leaving the content creation to you. Tasks can include content research, finding quotes, creating images, finding engaging questions, sending newsletters, managing Google AdWords, monitoring statistics. Manage blogs and social media accounts. Create presentations and sales materials. Collaborate with writers, graphic artists, and designers. We do a bit of all as clients have different needs, however, if a client is promoting a personal brand, we recommend that they create their possessive to emphasize that someone cheerful due ensure it is authentic to who they are.

Graphic Designer:

• One who can produce an attractive picture for social media and presentations, and one who has further stamp depth. They use software that is specifically for outline purposes. Some Graphics Designers can create typical flyers and brochures and generally, follow your existing style guide. The more experienced designers understand brand concepts, and they will generally help clients to create a visual representation of themselves through color and imagery.
It’s paramount to remember that this is just a small sample of the services that virtual assistants can bestow. From the highly specialized to the jack of all trades, there are imaginable several ideal professionals available for your specific project needs. Then again, it may be effortless to hire several different VA’s to handle varying needs the right balance can only through trial and error.

Most consumers prefer one or the other, so I recommend learning both. When having calls with potential clients, they are relieved to find out that I’m adaptable to use either since it’s easier to get started on tasks right away!
